It's really simple. Enter your van's registration number into our website and provide us with a few details about your van such as, service history, MOT and mileage.

We will take all of this into account and email you with our valuation along with instructions on how to make an appointment.

Unlike other valuation websites, we don't just offer you an electronic guide price; we take the information you provide us about your van into account before we send you a valuation. This process is completely free of charge and there is no obligation to sell your van to us.

We always carry out an on-site inspection of a vehicle before we offer to buy it. If we consider that its value is affected by any aspect of its history or condition, including any unusual feature or customisation, which was not apparent to us when we gave the online valuation, the price that we offer for it will differ from the online valuation. We guarantee we are willing to buy every van we value.

Unfortunately any damage or condition to your van (such as scratches, dents, rust) cannot be added to your online valuation, it can only be added when you attend one of our branches. Standardisation of condition prices for vans is very difficult due to the diversity of vans specification and in how vans are used.

We will therefore always carry out an on-site inspection of a vehicle before we offer to buy it. If we consider that its value is affected by any aspect of its history or condition, including any unusual feature or customisation, which was not apparent to us when we gave the online valuation, the price that we offer for it will differ from the online valuation. We guarantee we are willing to buy every van we value.

Simple online appointment booking

Once you have your online valuation, you can then choose a branch, day and time for you appointment through our website and we'll confirm your appointment by email.

If you don’t book your appointment straight away, the quickest way for you to do this at a later stage would be to simply click on the link in your initial valuation email, select which branch you would like to visit and on what date and time.

  • Your vehicle. It may sound obvious, but you’ll need to be able to get your van to the appointment. We don't currently offer a collection service.
  • The V5 logbook/registration certificate. This must be registered in the name of the current keeper. If the V5 logbook/registration certificate is still in the owner's maiden name, you will need to bring a copy of your marriage certificate.
  • Two forms of identification. One must be an original photo ID (such as a passport) and one should be a proof of address item (accepted forms include a utility bill or council tax letter dated within the last 9 months). These must match the name and address on the vehicle logbook.
  • All service history and MOT certificates if available.
  • Both sets of car keys. Unless you've told us otherwise, the valuation provided assumes you have 2 sets of keys for your vehicle. If you've only got 1 key, the price we offer you after inspection may be reduced.
  • Bank details. So we can pay you for your car. The account has to be in the name of the registered keeper.
  • Finance settlement letter. If the vehicle has any finance outstanding we need a letter with the settlement figure from the finance company to be able to buy the vehicle.
  • Any extras that we’ll need. Such as the locking wheel nut for the alloy wheels where fitted, any detachable fascias and security codes for the radio, the security code for obtaining replacement keys and any discs required for the satellite navigation system.

We provide detailed directions to all of our branches as well as a full address with postcode on the Branch Locator page of the website.

You will also be able to find further details on where your branch is within your Appointment Confirmation email.

Appointments are not always necessary, so if you haven't made an appointment online, you can just call into your local branch.

Booking an appointment ensures we'll be ready for your arrival and will have the time to inspect your van at the branch. But if you are just passing a branch then you can pop in and speak to us whenever you like.

We do however advise that you check the branch opening times before you travel.

You can find your local branch opening times and contact details by using our branch locator

You will accompany one of our trained vehicle purchasers to your van whilst they conduct an inspection of the vehicle. A short test drive will be undertaken at which point you will be invited to accompany the vehicle purchaser (if your vehicle is not taxed or has no valid MOT, we will be unable to carry out the test drive which may affect the price we offer).

After the test drive, you return to the office where the vehicle purchaser will offer you a price for your van.

The price may differ from your online valuation if we consider that its value is affected by any aspect of its history or condition, including any unusual features or customisation, which was not apparent to us when we gave the online valuation.

If you do decide to sell your van we arrange for the money to be paid in to your bank account, complete some paperwork and complete the sale. Please ensure that you have made arrangements for your return journey.

Valuations issued from webuyanyvan.com are subject to an inspection of the van and should not be construed as a contract. The condition of your vehicle must be confirmed by a member of our valuation team prior to purchase.

We always carry out an on-site inspection of a vehicle before we offer to buy it. We can arrange settlement of any outstanding finance on your van.

For us to do this we will need you to provide an in date letter from your finance company, detailing the current settlement figure and your agreement reference number.

The settlement amount will be deducted from the amount paid to you for your van.

We will pay your finance company within 4 working days after the day of sale

If you owe more on your finance than the value of the van, we will still be happy to buy the van, but you will need to pay us the shortfall by debit/credit card when we purchase your van.

We are happy to help buy your vehicle as a nominated third party, in accordance with the requirements of your finance/lease company. Just contact your finance or lease company to discuss your intentions, to find out what you need to do to conclude your agreement with them.

Yes, we will need you to bring along the following:

  • A form of photo identification for the person bringing the vehicle
  • Letter signed from the company director giving authorisation for that person to sell on their behalf.
  • Company account details e.g. bank paying in book or company bank statement
  • Two forms of identification for the business address
  • Both sets of vehicle keys if available
  • All service history and MOT certificates if available
  • V5 logbook/registration certificate

If you are a VAT registered individual or company and are selling a van that is subject to VAT when it was purchased, we can pay VAT on the sale. Please remember to bring your VAT number with you at the time of your appointment.

In accordance with HMRC requirements, we are required to ensure that the vehicle is registered to the VAT entity. If the vehicle has not been registered to the VAT entity (different name/address), we may require linking evidence from you at the point of sale (usually written confirmation from your accountant that the vehicle is an asset of the VAT entity).

Should you have any concerns regarding this, you are welcome to discuss these with us ahead of the appointment by emailing us at talktousnow@webuyanycar.com

Yes you can and the following documentation will be required to complete the sale;

Original Photo ID for the registered keeper (Passport/Driving License)

  • A proof of address for the registered keeper dated within the last nine months (this must match the address on the V5 - utility bill/bank statement)
  • Letter/Email of authority from the registered keeper stating that they wish to sell the vehicle and naming the person bringing the van for sale as being authorised to conclude the sale.
  • The payment must be to the registered keepers UK bank account, so proof of the account details should be provided (bank statement/paying in book).
  • Finally photo ID for the person bringing the car

We'll be happy to give you a valuation and buy your van whilst it has a personalised registration.

However, if you want to keep your private plate it's easy to reassign it to another vehicle or to put the registration onto a retention certificate so that it can be sold or reassigned at a later date. You would need to complete this with the DVLA prior to selling to us.

To find out more about personalised registrations and locate your local DVLA office, visit the DVLA  website

Also, We Buy Any Van do not specialise in private plates and therefore selling the vehicle to us with or without a private registration plate will not positively affect the valuation offered.

Yes! However we are currently unable to offer a collection service so you'll need to make your own arrangements to get the car to your nearest drop-off point.

If you were to contact some local transport agents in your area, I'm sure they will be able to assist.

We hold information on all UK vans manufactured since 1982. If you are unable to find your van it may be because:

  • Your van is not of UK origin (imported)
  • Your van is over 25 years old

If you can't get an online valuation from our website, simply contact us at talktous@webuyanyvan.com  providing your van details (make, model, mileage, etc) and we will be back in touch with valuation based on the information you have provided.

Please do not choose the nearest model to your van in an attempt to obtain an online valuation as this will not reflect an accurate valuation for your van.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer a standard service to visit you at your home address or offer a collection service; so you would need to make your own arrangements to get the car to your nearest drop-off point.

However, if you were to contact some local transport agents in your area, I'm sure they will be able to assist.

If you do decide to sell to us, then a transaction fee may apply at the point of sale. The transaction fee depends on the final price:

  • There is no transaction fee applicable for cars valued below £99.99 (subject to minimum valuation of £50)
  • A transaction fee of £49.99 is applicable for vehicles valued at £100.00 to £4999.99
  • Where the Price is £5,000 or more, the transaction fee is £74.99

Payment will be made directly to your bank account within 4 working days after the day of sale, using our standard electronic bank transfer service. There is no charge for this service.

We also offer a next working day payment service at an additional fee of £24.75 and an Immediate Payment (15 mins or less) option to selected customers for an additional fee of £29.75. For full details on all of our payment options please see our terms and conditions here.

If you wish to unsubscribe you do this here.

Please remember to enter the email address used to obtain your valuation.

If you are having difficulties unsubscribing, please email us.

The selling process usually takes approximately 20 minutes.

You can reschedule an appointment by using the link in your appointment confirmation email, or by visiting the Manage My Appointment page on our website.

From here you can choose a new time, day or branch to suit you. If you need to cancel your appointment you will also be able to do so.

If you think you are going to be late, we should still be able to accommodate you and your vehicle when you arrive and effectively carry out your appointment.

In every scenario we'll do our very best to accomodate you as soon as possible but depending on how busy we are, it may be necessary to book a new appointment.

We guarantee your price for 4 days, so any valuation you have which is older than 4 days will no longer be valid.

The van market changes on a daily basis and we adjust our prices daily to match demand.

We advise you re-enter your van details onto our site to get an up-to-date valuation

We may require a copy of your original purchase invoice/proof of payment which should be from a recognised dealer if;

You have been the registered keeper for less than 2 months and your vehicle is valued over £5,000 or;

You have been the registered keeper for less than 6 months and your vehicle is valued at £10,000 or above, or

You have been the registered keeper for less than 12 months and your vehicle is valued at £50,000 or above

If we require any additional documentation, we will advise you as soon as we can.

We cannot accept proof of purchase from an Auction House.

We will still buy your van as long as it is registered in the UK. Bear in mind that models and specifications vary from country to country, so the price may differ from that of a UK supplied van in some circumstances.

There are two types of import: a "parallel" import (i.e. purchased within the EU) and a "grey" import (i.e. purchased outside the EU).

Cars which are parallel imports can be valued normally through www.webuyanycar.com online.

However, "grey" imports will require a manual valuation. If your van is a "grey" import it's not a problem - simply email us with the details which can be found on your V5 registration document and a member of our customer services team will be in touch.

We realise this can be an incredibly emotional and stressful time and we can help make this process easy.

To satisfy due diligence we will require certain documents depending upon the individual circumstances.

We understand that there may be times when your current address does not match the address that is detailed on your V5. If this is the case, please provide your Vehicle Purchaser with a proof of address that matches the address that is on your V5 as well as a proof of address that matches your current address.

The V5 (log book) holds the details of the registered keeper of the vehicle. To prevent fraud, we will only purchase a vehicle from you if it is your name on the V5.

If you wish to sell your car and there is a legitimate reason why you are not the registered keeper, please contact us with full details and we'll do our best to help.

We are unable to purchase any car without the original V5 document (log book).

If you do not have one you can obtain a new document by contacting DVLA via the options detailed on their website; https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-log-book

It can take up to a week to get the replacement V5 (log book).

Yes, you will leave your van with us after the appointment if you decide to sell.

Please ensure that you have made arrangements for your return journey.

It is company policy to not purchase vehicles from the motor trade. For further clarification please contact us at talktousnow@webuyanycar.com

At present, we only buy vans registered in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We will be happy to settle the outstanding loan with logbook loans as part of the transaction however you would need them to release the V5 to you prior to the sale as this will be required when you attend the branch.

We are unable to purchase vehicles subject to finance agreement with Car Cashpoint

We always carry out an on-site inspection of a vehicle before we offer to buy it.
